The lowest parts of the Arizona are shown in Green. This includes the Colorado River valley along the western border of Arizona and also the Gila and Salt River valleys in the southwest and central portions of the state, including the capital and most populous city, Phoenix, and several other major cities in the area including Chandler, Mesa, Glendale, and Scottsdale.
As the land gets higher, colors change to yellows and oranges which represent mid-elevation. Tucson, another major Arizona city is located in this mid-elevation range in southern Arizona.
The highest parts of the state in the north and west are shown in blues and purples, with whites representing the highest mountain peaks. Flagstaff is the largest Arizona city located in the high elevation region.

The first thing you'll notice of this Arizona Physical Map is that the landscape looks absolutely incredible. There are so many interesting landforms and natural features in Arizona, it's wonderful to finally have a map that does justice to the beauty of the terrain.
While many physical features are clearly identifiable, the most prominent is definitely the Grand Canyon. The sharp elevation change in the canyon is especially prominent with the color changes, and the added shading of the rugged cliffs makes the Grand Canyon look downright majestic as it scars through the landscape. Specific peaks are also visible, including Humphreys Peak (Arizona's highest point at 12,637 feet or 3852 meters), Mt. Graham, Baldy Peak, and more. Lakes of Arizona, including Lake Mead, Lake Powell, Theodore Roosevelt Lake, San Carlos Lake, Alamo Lake, and the Colorado River are also shown.
